Luke Ingalls grew up racing on the waters of Narragansett Bay and went on to represent the United States on the international stage as a member of the US Optimist National Team. That foundation β€” knowing what it takes to win at the national and world level β€” is the engine behind his coaching.

Since joining JK Sailing as Head Coach in 2023, Luke has built the East Coast program into a high-performance pathway for youth sailors, guided by a simple philosophy: teach the fundamentals relentlessly, then trust the sailors to perform.

Off the race course, Luke serves on the USODA Opti Development Team, shaping the next generation of elite youth sailors across the Northeast.

Luke holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marine Affairs with a Minor in Business from the University of Rhode Island, where he captained the sailing team to the national championships in his freshman and senior years.
